'Vote Trump' tweeted from top Clinton aide Podesta's Twitter account after apparent hack

John Podesta is apparently once again the victim of a cyberattack.

Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s Twitter account appeared to be hacked Wednesday night when a tweet reading “I’ve switched teams. Vote Trump 2016!” was posted to his verified profile.

The tweet was quickly removed from the account.

“We can confirm that John’s Twitter account was hacked, which would explain the message,” Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill told reporters Wednesday.

Podesta was also the victim of a massive email hack and more than 5,000 of his electronic correspondence have been made public by Wikileaks in recent days. Podesta has not only accused Russian intelligence agencies of being behind the email leak, but has suggested that the Trump campaign is somehow involved.
